How many weapons and tools does Flopbox have?

20 in the tools menu: 4 guns, 4 melee tools, 5 tools, 1 medical tool, 6 spawn items. The guns are handgun, shotgun, rifle and .308. The melee tools are knife, knife slash, fire axe and sledgehammer. The tools are grab, handcuffs, flame torch, acid and hand grenade. The medical tool is the tourniquet. The spawn items are test dummy, fuel drum, clear drums, launch pad, ramp and clear props.

Guns

Handgun 2

A semi-automatic sidearm, up to six shots a second. Each round leaves a bullet hole that wraps around the body, and the wound path through the anatomy can be followed in X-ray.

Shotgun 3

Fires eight pellets per shot, about one and a half shots a second. Up close the pellets stay together and wear through joints fast; further away they spread out.

Rifle 4

Full automatic at ten rounds a second with a 30-round magazine and an ammo counter. When the magazine runs dry there is a 2.1 second reload. Rounds go through.

.308 5

A scoped rifle with no spread and a 200 metre range, one shot a second. Zoom with right-click or Z. A shot at a dummy starts a slow-motion kill cam that rides the bullet in with X-ray on the target; the kill cam can be turned off from the pause menu or from the cam itself, and the choice is remembered.

Melee

Knife 1

Stabbing at arm's length (1.9 metres of reach). Hold the button to keep stabbing.

Knife slash 8

Hold the button and drag across a body to cut along the path your crosshair takes. Faster movement cuts deeper. Repeated deep, fast cuts across an elbow, knee, shoulder, hip or the neck wear the joint down until the limb or head comes off. On a phone, hold the red fire button and slide your thumb.

Fire axe E

A heavy overhead chop that leaves a deep wound, breaks bones and can take a limb off at the joint. Press E again to throw it (on a phone, the throw button; on a controller, the left trigger).

Sledgehammer H

Blunt force: knocks a person off their feet, breaks bones under the blow, cracks ribs and the pelvis, and fractures or caves in a skull. It never cuts.

Tools

Grab 6

Picks up and flings bodies and loose organs from up to eight metres away.

Handcuffs 7

Locks a dummy's hands behind their back; use it again on the same dummy to take them off. Range is three metres.

Flame torch F

Hold the button to throw a tongue of flame about 1.8 metres. What it touches scorches and then catches fire; the fire spreads along the body, chars the paint and burns until it is out. People flail, pat at the flames, then drop and roll to put it out. A fuel drum held in the flame vents burning gas and then explodes.

Acid C

A squeeze bottle labelled Corrosive, Test 9. Hold to squirt a stream two to three metres. On a body the acid eats down through skin, fat and muscle, and with a long dose the bone; a sustained dose next to a joint can take the limb off. On the floor and walls it leaves fizzing puddles that dry to a pale etched stain.

Hand grenade G

Pull the pin and lob it. It bounces, rolls and goes off about three seconds after it leaves your hand with a smaller version of the fuel drum blast, with fragments for anyone close. Up to three can be live at once, and a nearby drum goes up with it.

Medical

Tourniquet 9

A windlass tourniquet for a bleeding arm or leg. Tap a bleeding limb to strap it on between the wound and the torso, hold to twist the rod tight (three half-turns is fully tight), tap again to take it off. It only goes on limbs and never over a joint.

Spawn

Test dummy N

Spawns a new dummy where you aim, up to 20 in the room (8 on phones).

Fuel drum B

A drum that explodes when shot or burned. Spawns where you aim.

Clear drums

Removes all fuel drums.

Launch pad

A pad that throws whoever steps on it.

Ramp U

A steel wedge; the low end faces you when you place it.

Clear props

Removes the launch pads and ramps.

Views and lab modes

These are not tools you hold, but they change how you look at the result.

X-ray X

Shows the skeleton, organs and vessels under the skin, including where a bullet or blade went through.

Slow-mo T

Slows the whole simulation down.

Vitals V

A live injury report for the dummy you last hit: wounds by body region, the vessels and bones involved, blood loss and posture.

Autopsy cam K

After a kill, time stops and the body is sliced open along the bullet path so you can see what it passed through. It can be switched off in the pause menu.

Gravity Y

Cycles Earth, Moon, Zero-G and Jupiter. Blood, debris, flames and the dummies' own balance all follow the gravity you pick; in Zero-G living dummies float and blood hangs in the air as drops.

Freeze time I

The world stops while you can still move, aim and shoot. Every hit lands at once when time runs again.

Photo mode O

Time stops, the interface goes away, and you fly a free camera to frame a shot and save it as a picture.

Which tool should you start with?

The handgun and the grab tool are the simplest: aim and click. Turn on X-ray (X) and the vitals panel (V) first, because they show what each tool does inside the body. The knife slash, fire axe and sledgehammer reward aiming at joints and bones, and the flame torch, acid and hand grenade are the tools whose effects keep developing after you stop using them, so give them a few seconds. The tourniquet is the one tool that helps rather than hurts, and the spawn items let you rebuild the room: more test dummies, fuel drums, ramps and launch pads for crash-test setups.
